Roswell GA Community Bio

The city of Roswell is located in north Fulton County and became a city on February 16, 1854. With an estimated population in 2014 of over 94,000, it is Georgia's seventh largest city. Although, the city of Roswell is in Fulton County unincorporated reaches in to east Cobb County.

The city is named after Roswell King, who in 1830 while visiting North Georgia decided it would be a great place for a cotton mill, and built what would soon become the largest mill in North Georgia, the Roswell Mill.

It is home to some historic landmarks such as Barrington Hall (home of Barrington King), The Smith Plantation (home of Archibald Smith) and Bulloch Hall (childhood home of Theodore Roosevelt).
